Design Engineering Versa Shield was originally designed to protect starters and solenoids failing from excessive heat, but it can also be used to protect carburettors, fuel pumps and many more areas of a car, bike, truck etc. It has also been found helpful for shielding electrical boxes and instruments from intense heat.
- Protects against failure from excessive heat
- Easy to fit with a hook and loop closure
- Length can be trimmed to suit different applications
- Capable of withstanding direct heat up to 500°F (260°C) and radiant heat up to 2000°F (1093°C)
Design Engineering Versa-Shield is easily cut to shape and attaches to itself with hook and loop closure so in most cases there is no need to remove the starter motor to fit the shield.
Dimensions - 7" x 24" (178 x 609mm).
