AIM Motorsport MXm Legends Cars Compact Dash Display

This compact MXm display has been designed to specifically suit Legends race cars, 2018 onwards fitted with the 3 cylinder Yamaha FZ09 engine. The Legends cars specific 37 pin Deutsch connector harness allows connection to the vehicle battery and ECU directly, through the 8 pin white JST connector (labelled “ECU”), and to the on-board gear sensor, through the 6 pin white Sumitomo connector (labelled “CH. 1”).

The unit features advanced data logging capabilities and is designed for racers needing all the essential information to monitor their vehicles behaviour and to improve their own performance. Designed to acquire and display data coming from your ECU, the internal accelerometer and gyro, as well as from the internal GPS receiver, analogue/digital inputs and pre-defined math channels.

• The display is kept at an optimum brightness level thanks to an ambient light sensor so that it is always easy to read, no matter what the lighting conditions
• Two fully configurable RGB alarm LEDs, that you can choose the conditions which turn them on and off, the colour of the LED, and whether you want a solid or a flashing style alarm
• The internal GPS provides racers with a device that is more complete than ever and leaves cockpits free from external modules.

The display has an integrated shift light system which features 5 fully configurable LEDs which can be customised to your requirements and for each gear. Two further LEDs can be configured to operate as warning alarms. These warning lights can be customised for a particular parameter that requires a warning light, the colour of the LED, and whether you want a solid or a flashing style alarm, even the flashing frequency can be tailored to suit your requirements.

Making use of a sharp liquid crystal screen, the user can select the information that is displayed and the backlight can be switched between 7 available colours, all with high contrast and easy to read graphics. The information that is displayed on the screen can be fully configured by the user to prioritise the most important information for the driver. If there is simply too much information to be shown on the screen, the driver can scroll between multiple pages using the integrated buttons so that nothing is missed.

After the session has concluded, all of the data can be recalled on screen including a summary of the drivers best laps along with max/min RPM, speed and temperatures. If you would prefer to go through the data in more detail, the MXm features a Wi-Fi function to enable fast and secure data transfer to a laptop or PC up to 50 meters away, so you no longer need to take the laptop to the car!

As with all AIM data logging systems, the MXm is part of a modular system which allows the user to get the most out of the unit. Using the "EXP" connection on the included 37 pin harness, it's possible to connect other CAN devices such as the LCU-One CAN lambda controller, or one of the range of SmartyCam 3 HD cameras.
