Racelogic Tyre Temperature Monitoring System

This tyre temperature monitoring system comprises of the Racelogic VBOX touch Motorsport data logger and the tyre pressure sensor kit, Each of the 4 sensors can measure 16 points on a tyre so you can see a true temperature across the entire tyre width. The temperature range on the sensors is -20 to 300 degrees C.

The Racelogic tyre temperature sensors feature a wide (120 degree) field of view, and are mounted in close proximity to the tyre and constantly monitor the temperature across the whole width of the tyre. The advantage of this compared to more traditional methods is that you can view and log the temperatures during the lap to see how the each tyre reacts to cornering and braking. This information can be beneficial for fine tuning the chassis including brake bias, suspension settings and tyre pressures.

As well as logging tyre temperatures the VBOX touch Motorsport logger also allows you to view and log lap times with predictive lap timing, speed, position and performance (such as acceleration). All this makes the Tyre temperature monitoring system a very powerful tool for improving car and driver performance.
