Famous for producing the first commercially available back protector for motorcyclists, Knox is one of the UK's leading motorcycle clothing providers and - as the Knox back protector has shown - one of the UK's most innovative and forward thinking, too. When the company first opened in 1981, the back protector was their flagship product, giving riders greater confidence that they would have all-round body protection if they were to come off their bikes. Several years later, continuing the theme of delivering tomorrow's protection today, Knox launched the first motorcycle jacket to offer built-in protection for the elbows, shoulders and back; paving the way for the kind of motorcycle jackets and leathers that we know today. Continuing to develop and manufacture all of their protective motorcycle clothing in the Lake District, Knox also produce a range of stylish motorcycle gloves, too, including the incredibly popular Knox Handroid gloves which are made from premium, lightweight leather with a metacarpal protector covering the back of the hand and smooth palm for optimum grip on the handlebars.
