Designed and manufactured to impeccable standards at their base in Germany, the Britax Romer DUALFIX PRO M is a follow-on seat that bridges the gap between the infant carrier and the child seat they will be in for years. 

Packed with plenty of protective safety features while offering kids a comfortable ride, the DUALFIX PRO M is a great all-rounder. You also have the option to do your bit for the environment too. Britax Romer’s GREENSENSE range of fabrics are made from recycled plastic bottles and as their seats and designed and manufactured in the same place, they’ve cut down their carbon footprint, benefitting us all.

It is fitted quickly and easily using the independently moving ISOFIX connectors and is secured further with the height-adjustable support leg. The seat can be used in both forward and rear-facing positions and can remain in the safer rear-facing position for the full life of the seat. Rear-facing has been proven to be the safer way for kids to travel in car seats and you should aim to keep them rear-facing as long as the seat allows. The DUALFIX PRO M can be switched into the forward position when the child reaches 76cm in height, which is usually around 15 months, but it is advised that you keep them rear-facing for as long as possible.

Let’s have a look at some of the safety features of the DUALFIX PRO M. Part of the R129 testing standard is that the seat must have side-impact protection to pass the tests, but the DUALFIX PRO M goes beyond the basic side impact protection required. Their SICT (Side Impact Cushion Technology) system absorbs the harmful forces of a side impact and diverts them away from your precious cargo. 

Another pair of features to protect them in the event of a collision are deep protective side wings and the comfy V-shaped headrest. The deep, padded wings offer side impact protection for the whole upper body and the V-shaped headrest keeps their head from moving sharply in the event of an accident. 

Comfy kids are happy kids and there’s plenty to keep them comfy with the DUALFIX PRO M. The seat is easily reclined into one of 6 positions, forward or rear facing and the rebound bar, which stops the seat tilting in a collision, is lower than many other similar seats on the market. This gives them more legroom as they grow and makes them more likely to feel comfortable while rear-facing. You also get super soft performance chest pads for the straps on the harness.
