Seals-It Firewall Grommet Seals

Seals-It firewall grommet seals keep unwanted smoke and fumes from entering the cockpit while protecting lines from chafing and wearing on rough surfaces. Providing a finishing touch to all through panel installations the firewall grommets are suitable for fuel and oil lines plus other fluid lines or wiring. The design of these seals means that existing hoses may not need to be completely disassembled as the rubber allows fittings to pass through them. 
Constructed from a flame retardant nitrile, bonded to an anodised aluminium backing plate with drilled holes for bolting or riveting to a panel or bulkhead.

To get the correct size of firewall grommet seal for your application you need to choose a seal with a hole diameter 1.5-3.2mm smaller than the hose or wiring and the rubber O/D needs to be 10mm bigger then the largest part of the assembly to be passed through it (usually the hose end fitting).

It is recommended that a lubricant such as petroleum or silicone jelly is used when passing lines through the grommet.
