Design Engineering Gen 3 Onyx Turbo Heat Shield
This Gen 3 version of Design Engineering's Onyx turbo heat shield has been designed to be the most effective turbo shield on the market. The 4 layer construction enables it to handle up to 2500°F (1371°C) radiant heat and up to 1800°F (982°C) direct heat. The shields are manufactured for specific turbochargers to enable the very best fit and heat management.

The Design engineering Gen 3 Onyx turbo heat shields feature a 4 later construction for the ultimate in heat retention. The innermost layer is a stainless steel fabric designed to cope with the highest temperatures without becoming brittle. The 2nd layer is a glass fibre, stainless steel and silicone blend which adds strength and additional insulation. The 3rd layer is made of thick silica insulation which has very low thermal conductivity so it keeps the heat within the turbo. The outer later is made from Onyx material with LR technology coated in silicone designed to add strength and resilience to the shield so it can withstand the harshest environments. All of these elements combine to make the Gen 3 Onyx turbo heat shield the very best available.
Available as a shield on its own or as a kit which includes the shield, a 2" x 15ft roll of black titanium exhaust wrap, 2 x 20" long stainless locking ties and a 5ft length of fastening wire.
