Piper Cams Performance Camshaft Kit
Piper camshaft kits are available in a range of different profiles which offer different engine characteristics and power curves. This enables you to choose the right profile to suit your needs whether it be a fast road profile for smoother power delivery at low RPM or a full race profile for high revving competition engines.
Typical profiles are -
- Fast Road - Power band between 1500-6500 RPM
- Ultimate Road - Power band between 2500-7500 RPM
- Rally - Power band between 2800-7500 RPM
- Race - Power band between 3000-8000 RPM
The quoted power bands are a generalisation and will alter from engine to engine.
The contents of the kits vary dependent on application but a typical camshaft kit will include.
- Performance Camshaft/s
- Cam Followers
- Valve Springs
- Timing Disc
- Cam Lube
Notes: Generating an order online will supply a blank cast camshaft kit. Reprofiling or Exchange of original camshafts are also available for some applications (depending on condition of original camshafts) which does sometimes offer a more economical solution to fitting of Piper Camshafts.
