Braking

In competition, being able to stop quickly is just as important as driving fast in the pursuit of better lap times. There are many aspects to the braking system which range from brake pads, discs and calipers through to pedal boxes, proportion valves and brake fluid that all combine to scrub off speed prior to entering the corners and help you maximise your braking performance on track.

One of the simplest upgrades for any cars' braking system is to change the brake discs and pads. This can have a profound effect on the stopping ability of your car while improving brake pad life and feel on the pedal. Brands like EBC Brakes and Brembo are two of the biggest names in the business when it comes to brake pads and discs along with Ferodo and Pagid.

It doesn't all end there, however, as there are other areas of the braking system that can be upgraded which can provide the difference between competing and winning. Areas such as pedal boxes, brake master cylinders and Goodridge brake lines can all help to ensure that you are maximising your cars braking potential and provide the driver with an increased feel when applying the brakes.
