The programmable 6AL-2 electronic ignition box provides a method of having tailored ignition curves on distributor based ignition systems. It is suitable for engine RPM up to 12,000 rpm and is easy to program on a PC or laptop using windows based software.

The MSD ignition 6AL-2 allows you to program ignition retarding for nitrous systems or to plot a boost timing curve for engines with forced induction or to set a curve to suit different camshaft characteristics. The unit features an in-built 2 step rev limiter with 100 RPM increments. The 2 step limiter allows for an upper rev limit to protect the engine and a lower limit suitable for launch control.
