Forced induction cars tend to come from the factory with an intercooler. Compressing air with a turbo- or super-charger heats it up, and it needs cooling back down before it goes into the engine. This is where an intercooler comes in. This is a kind of radiator core that the air passes through, dropping the temperature back down.

While almost all forced induction cars come with one from the factory, these will generally have been designed with normal power levels and normal driving in mind.

Once you start tuning an engine to boost harder, driving it harder than normal, or even driving in hotter weather than was originally planned for, those inlet temperatures can start to creep up, leading to the engine trimming back power to protect itself.

The solution is a bigger, better-designed intercooler.

By increasing the size of the core, changing the design of the core to the more efficient tube and fin, and even sizing up the inlet and outlet pipework Wagner tuning are able to offer significant increases in the cooling on offer.

It's not enough to simply fit a huge intercooler core though. Too big a core or a poorly designed core can slow down the flow of air, resulting in boost-lag when you put your foot down. To avoid this, Wagner Tuning has carefully matched each intercooler kit to the intended vehicle, ensuring it works well with standard boost, or on a tuned engine running higher boost.
