The R888R is not simply an evolution of the R888, it has been completely re-engineered to give improvements in all areas including enhanced feel and steering response plus improved stability under acceleration.

The Toyo Proxes R888R tyre is constructed using a track derived GG compound developed for a faster warm up time. Large tread blocks on the outer area offer higher lateral grip levels for improved cornering speeds and the wide centre rib area of the tyre has been designed to provide better steering precision and response. These features allow the R888R to perform even better on track yet also surpass the latest tyre labeling regulations so it is totally legal to use as a road tyre. Other improvements include faster warm up times and increased dry grip with sustained performance over multiple laps and heat cycles. Better steering response and driver feedback provide full control for optimised lap times.
The Toyo R888R tyre is a complete solution for performance driving and track day enthusiasts as well as serious racers and is one of the only tyres in this class which allow you to legally drive your car to and from the circuit.
