About this Car Seat
Axkid, the rear-facing specialists, created the Axkid ONE, creating a new standard in car seat safety and they have gone 1 better and created the ONE 2 now, with over 150 updates!! Travelling in a rear-facing car seat for as long as possible has been proven to be the safest way for a child to travel, rear-facing is up to 5 times safer and now your little one can go all the way up to 125cm (approx 7 years) in this seat.
Despite keeping your child safe until they are 7, the Axkid ONE 2 is still one of the lightest i-Size car seats on the market. They have taken the fundamental car seat design and stripped it down to its basic elements and fundamental components and, rooted in Scandinavian design tradition, have used aluminium and hardened steel to form a lightweight frame to cocoon your little one. The seat itself is built with shock-absorbing materials which helps to absorb crash-forces in the event of a crash. The whole seat weighs less than 10kg! There is also the Axkid ASIP (advanced side impact protection) system, which can be fitted to either side of the seat (whichever is closer to the car door) providing even more protection.
The seat is also quick and easy to install, in fact, it takes less than 30 seconds. Simply click the seat onto the Isofix points in the car, extend the support leg and release the anti-rotation bar and you’re ready to go. The anti-rotation bar is self-tightening and has an audio cue to let you know the seat is in the optimal position.
Parents often worry about legroom for their little one when using a rear-facing seat as your little one grows and that’s been considered with the Axkid ONE 2 too. The seat is mounted on rails, which allows you to adjust the seat back and forth easily with just one hand and you can move it up to 30cm! This not only makes it easier to install your child with a bigger space, but it also makes it easier to give a front passenger extra room should they need it. In fact, thanks to the sliding seat technology it will fit in even the smallest cars.
The Axkid ONE also comes with the Sleepwell System, this allows the angle of the seat to be adjusted to 42° with a stepless recline which gives kids a comfy position to recline and sleep in. The headrest can be adjusted to one of 12 positions so there will be one to suit your little one as they grow.
The Axkid ONE 2 is a sustainable choice too - not only can it be used for 7 years, it's easy to disassemble and recycle the majority of its parts!
