Ferodo
The origins of Ferodo brakes can be found in the North Derbyshire countryside (of all places), with the first friction materials created in 1897 for horse drawn carriages. Fast-forward to 1926 and Ferodo had a land speed record under its belt which became the catalyst for Ferodo to diversify, moving into and dominating both Formula One and Rallying for decades to come. The 1998 takeover of Ferodo by Federal Mogul saw the creation of Ferodo Racing, and with that a move to Mondovi in Italy. The following year saw the arrival of their famous Ferodo DS3000 brake pads, developed in conjunction with Federal Moguls UK research centre. To this date the DS3000 compound is one of the most successful collections of brake pads of all time in terms of results, reliability and sales. But, of course, like any company they have never stood still. Ferodo racing brake pads come in five different compounds ranging from the track day/race DS2500 compound to their latest creation, DSUNO, which is a heavy duty semi-endurance brake pad which is highly popular in touring cars, GT racing, single seaters and rallying. Whether you are a seasoned racer or a budding track day enthusiast, Ferodo Racing have a brake pad to suit your requirements.
