Mintex
Mintex started making brake parts way back in 1908 and immediately started building a reputation based on quality and performance. Providing road-going cars with some of the first brake pads and discs, Mintex brake parts were soon the must-have components and this led to their introduction into the world of motorsport. By the 1950s, Mintex brakes were used on Jaguar racing cars and were fitted to the cars that came first at Le Mans in 1951 and 1953. Formula One World Champion Mike Hawthorn praised the impact of Mintex brakes when he sealed the title in 1958 and from that point on the brand grew and grew. Mintex brake pads and discs were fitted to the Ford Escort, Austin Maxi and many more leading cars of the 1960s and 70s. Fast-forward to the present day and components such as the Mintex M1144 range of brake pads are a popular range of performance brake upgrades, offering fast-road and track day racers a quality set of brake parts that improve the overall stopping power - and distance - allowing you to brake later and get back on the gas sooner.
