Redesigned for even greater safety and comfort, the Britax Römer ADVANSAFIX IV R is a fabulous Group 1/2/3 seat for your little one to travel in from 9 to 36kg. It's packed full of features to help make their journey better and your life easier, as well as advanced safety features for your peace of mind.

Installing the ADVANSAFIX IV R is a breeze. In group 1 mode, you use the patented Pivot Link ISOFIX arms to connect to the ISOFIX points in your vehicle and a V-shaped top tether strap to stop the sear rotation and reduce the forward momentum in the event of a collision. The twin anchorage points offer superb stability- more than a regular top tether system, and the stitching in the tether is designed to progressively rip, slowly and controlled after an impact, absorbing some more of the force. When your little one grows, you can easily switch to the Group 2/3 high back booster mode. From 15kg (max 18kg) you can use the FLIP&GROW function to change the integrated harness that holds your child in place for the vehicle's 3-point belt which will hold them safely instead. It's very simple to do and can be converted back to harness mode at any time too. When in Group 2/3 setup, you can attach the seat in your vehicle by the ISOFIX arms or by the vehicle's 3-point belt.

Britax Römer designs, builds and crash-tests their seats in-house. This allows them to go above and beyond the required safety requirements. So when they say a seat is safe, it's SAFE. The ADVANSAFIX IV R is no exception, featuring plenty of extremely safe properties like Advanced Side Impact Protection. This SICT reduces impact forces by minimising the distance between your car and the seat and deforms to absorb the energy of a collision before it reaches your little one. it's super easy to use too, just adjust at the side closest to the door. Another safety feature is the V-shaped headrest- it helps to control the movement of your little one's head to ensure great protection in a crash. The ADVANSAFIX IV R features a new addition: A SecureGuard lap belt positioner helps to protect your child's abdomen, providing a 4th contact point for the 3-point belt to be held in the optimal position across the pelvic bones. Doesn't sound like much, but you can be assured, this makes a big difference- up to a whopping 35% of forces are reduced in the event of a frontal collision, and it also lets your child move more freely as they travel. Belt guides in the headrest and around the hips ensure correct positioning and a strong seat shell protects from head to hips.

Let's talk about comfort. Well, we've mentioned the headrest, but what we haven't said so far is that it can be easily adjusted- but it can! Adjust the headrest as your little one grows and the harness auto-adjusts with it. The harness has soft, neoprene performance chest pads to help reduce movement in a collision but are comfy and easily removable for washing at the same time. The seat cover can also be removed for machine washing- because, for a seat that lasts this long, you'll want to give it a clean every now and again! Luckily, you don't have to unthread the harness to remove the cover, another clever feature from Britax Romer.
