About this Car Seat
A stalwart in the car seat industry, Britax Römer are constantly striving to improve their already amazing products and they have done it yet again, bringing in a new member of the KIDFIX family - the KIDFIX III S Group 2/3 Car Seat. Suitable for use from when your little one reaches 15kg until they no longer need a car seat when they reach at least 135cm or 12 years old. Made in Germany, with the whole product development under one roof alongside their state-of-the-art crash testing facility, you can be sure your little one is as safe as can be.
Britax Römer have designed the KIDFIX III S to be one of the most comfortable and ergonomic seats on the market - it has a larger-than-normal seating area and a v-shaped backrest that grows with your little one. The backrest is designed to provide optimum support, whilst still providing space for their shoulders. The backrest is also designed to automatically adjust to the angle of the vehicle seat in your car, ensuring your little one is both comfy and safe.
The XP Pad has been a feature on a lot of Britax Römer seats and they have now designed a new generation of XP Pad. The XP Pad is designed to divert up to 30% of energy forces away from your little one in the event of a frontal crash. It's made from patented, advanced shock-absorbing foam and this new version has improved belt retraction, is easier to install the seatbelt and is even more comfortable for your child as it offers padding around the edge of the seatbelt.
Then we move on to the SecureGuard. This is designed to be a 4th point of contact for the seatbelt and as such helps to protect the delicate abdominal area of your child. It keeps the seatbelt over the pelvic bone and it also offers force reduction of up to 35% in a frontal crash.
As a precaution against injury from side impacts, there is the Britax Römer SICT system. This Advanced Side Impact Protection is simply adjusted on the side of the seat nearest the door and this helps to reduce the energy forces by deforming in the event of an accident.
Even though your little one is an older child once they are ready for a Group 2/3 car seat, they can still be messy!! Britax Römer have considered this and made the covers easy to remove as well as being washable - they really have thought of everything.
There is also the option of purchasing a summer cover separately to help keep your little one cooler in those warm summer months.
