Continental WinterContact TS 870 Tyre
Continental tyres designed their first tyre back in 1904 which built the foundation for the tread patterns still used today. Year on year these designs and compounds have been upgraded, and the WinterContact TS 870 is the result of years of winter performance tyre experience and technology combined.

Winter doesn't always mean snow and ice but often just heavy rain and slushy roads. Thanks to Continental's CoolChilli compound, wet weather handling and braking is enhanced and now with the Triple Sipe Concept, you even have maximum control when aquaplaning. The big issue with the latest winter tyres is they are not quite as durable, however, continental has looked into their compounds and have created a tyre that lasts longer than ever thanks to its flexible polymer matrix offering a higher mileage and lower fuel consumption.
