Another great seat from a great range by a great brand! The Cybex Sirona Gi i-Size Car Seat is a great value option which doesn’t compromise on safety and comfort.

While the Sirona Gi is suitable for use from three months out of the box, you can also purchase a separate newborn inlay and use it from birth, so that you can get even more use out of this brilliant seat!

Lets have a look at some of the safety features. First up you have the integrated L.S.P. system, which stands for Linear Side-impact Protection. These take the form of little wings which pop out of the side of the shell of the seat and are the first point to be hit in a side impact. The wings absorb the harmful forces of a collision and spread it through the shell of the seat and away from your little one. 

While you can use the 360° rotation to spin the seat to the forward-facing position when they reach 76cm (usually around 15 months old), all the car seat testing agencies, experts, manufacturers and retailers recommend keeping them rear-facing for as long as possible. Extended rear-facing is just safer.

The rotation isn’t just from going forward facing from rearward, it’s also a super handy function for you when you’re getting them in and out of the car. Simply pull the handle with one hand and then spin the base or base and seat, so that it faces you and pop them on. No more awkward contortions in tight parking spaces and the visual correct-fitting indicators give you peace of mind to go with your ease of use!

There are even more features to keep them comfy though. You have the one-hand recline, which lets you angle the seat into one of 5 positions and unlike many seats on the market, it can recline to all five positions whether forward or rearward-facing. The seat has ventilation panels to ensure a cool kid, because hot kids are often naggy kids and if you choose a seat with the optional Plus fabrics, you’ll get premium, breathable mesh fabrics and the extra detailing that is the signature of Cybex’s Plus range.

We’ll end by talking about a couple more features that make life easier for you. A simple yet brilliant little feature is the buckle retaining loops. Strategically placed loops allow you to hold the two pieces of the buckle out of the way when you are getting them in and out of the car. No more digging around underneath them trying to get the buckles and straps out! When they inevitably get the seat fabrics dirty, then you can simply pop them off and put them in the washing machine on a gentle cycle at 30°.

The seat will grow with them throughout its use thanks to the easy-adjust headrest. It has 12 positions to ensure it always fits perfectly!
