The Michelin Road 6 Motorcycle Tyre is the new version of the popular Michelin Road tyre. The Michelin Road 6 benefits from 2 decades of constant innovation and improvement with the highest level of expertise. This tyre offers 15% more wet grip than the Road 5 thanks to its 100% silica technology and a brand new tread pattern. By integrating a high percentage of silica into the tread rubber, Michelin has succeeded in pushing the limits of rolling resistance to save fuel, without compromising tyre longevity. The new high tech compound featured on these tyres increases the longevity by 10%.
Like the Michelin Road tyres of the past, this tyre features 2CT+ technology which means, harder rubber underneath the softer rubber on the Shoulders to give better rigidity at lean, for more stability when cornering, especially under strong acceleration, providing total performance of stability, longevity and grip. These tyres also come with the Aramid shield technology feature which is a highly dense, more rigid tyre casing, which helps deliver excellent feedback and handling. Aramid tread plies reduce weight, provide excellent stability and resist centrifugal growth even at speed and under high temperatures. The Radial-X Technology that is features on these tyres is one of Michelin’s most famous inventions, with 90° plies on the crown of the tire, provides adherence and stability and comfort. This tyre comes with Silica technology which improves grip in cooler temperatures and on wet roads, without compromising tread life. Off-road it ensures the durability of tread blocks. The Road 6 tyres come with Michelins Water Evergrip technology which is similar to the Water Sipe and Water Brake technology but is even more efficient, the sipes evolve over time and miles to give ever wider grooves, increasing the groove ratio to preserve the capacity of the tire to store and evacuate water.
