The Podtec Evo pod is designed for indoor use and is the perfect solution for cherished vehicles which spend periods of time in storage. It comprises of heavy duty PVC inflatable framework which can be erected in as little as 3 minutes and once erected it will stay that way with just the occasional top up of air to retain the full rigidity. The framework is incredibly robust, once inflated, and each post can support the weight of an adult so any falling debris is not a problem for the Evo Pod. The floor is manufactured from heavy duty, abrasion resistant 0.7mm PVC for long lasting performance and the side / end panels are made from 0.35mm clear PVC. This is thicker than most other similar storage solutions which provides increased durability but also improves the clarity so you get a better view of the car inside the pod. A full width, full height zipped end door allows for easy drive-in, drive-out access and zipped side doors provide room for the vehicle doors to open fully so you can enter / exit the vehicle easily. These doors are made from heavy duty, durable 0.5mm clear PVC. Cable access points in the side door zips allow for battery charger or other cables to be used without compromising the protection.
The Evopod is supplied with a separate fan and filter which can easily be fitted to a port on the end of the pod. The fan is designed to be left running constantly to prevent any mould or mildew forming and stop any stale air smells in the vehicle. It also helps to dry out a wet car vastly reducing any risk of rust or corrosion occurring.
The Evopod fans have a very low current draw which makes them cheap to run. For example the fan consumes just 0.48kWh of energy per day and you can calculate the exact daily running cost by multiplying 0.48 by the kWh cost from your electricity provider. As a guide the cost is less than 10 pence per day (correct as of August 2022). The filter is washable which is ideal if the pod is located within a dusty environment. Replacement filters are also available to purchase separately.
