The RST 2977 S1 Leather Motorcycle Jacket is the newest sport jacket from RST. It is made from a leather outer material keeping this jacket tough. It has 4 way woven stretch panels based all around the jacket with motion panels included. The inner lining is made from a comfortable mesh and it also comes with an interchangeable quilted thermal gilet included. The cuffs are made from neoprene and the threads are made from a bonded nylon. The zips which are on the jacket are made using MAX and SAB zippers. The ventilation that is included on this jacket is panel in panel perforated leather. This jacket comes with double leather reinforcements in the main impact areas which ensure that the rider is safe in these particular areas.
The S1 leather jacket comes with 2 handy zipped pockets which can be used to easily store smaller objects that you may need to get to quickly. The waist adjusters which are located on both the left and the right side of the jacket can be used to make sure that the wearer gets the perfect fit at all times. Along with the waist adjusters, the jacket also comes with elasticated side panels which make sure that there is no unnecessary pulling on the leather making the rider uncomfortable.
This jacket is certified to CE Rating: AAA which is the highest level, demanding four seconds of abrasion resistance with the machine spinning at 707.4rpm (the equivalent of 120km/h) in Zone 1 (Shoulders, Elbows, Hips and Knees), two seconds at 442.1rpm (about 75km/h) in Zone 2 (outer arms, torso, legs and feet) and one second at 265rpm (around 45km/h) in Zone 3 (inner arms, torso and legs). The jacket comes with a pocket for an RST back protector (protector not included) and CE Level 1 shoulder and elbow armour which means that the maximum transmitted force must be below 18 kN, and no single value shall exceed 24 kN.
