The Warrior battery charger/conditioner is powerful, versatile and the perfect multi-purpose battery care product for your garage or workshop! It can charge and maintain 6v, 12v (lead acid, gel, and AGM batteries) and lithium (LIFEPO4) batteries, with specific automated programs for each type of battery. It is a fully “fit and forget” battery charger – ideal for long-term maintenance and offers a wide charging range on all lead-acid batteries up to 120Ah and up to 36Ah on lithium batteries, including a low temperature charging mode for lead-acid batteries if the temperature is below -10°C.
The charger is housed in a durable, hard-wearing plastic case to ensure it can take the rigors of being used around a garage or workshop, whilst the handy mounting points mean it can be easily attached to a wall etc for ease of use. The case is also splash proof and dust proof (IP65 rated).
A large, easy to read LCD display lets you see the state of your battery’s voltage level and the charge it is receiving from the charger. The display also shows which charge mode is selected, the type of battery connected, as well as indicator symbols for faults, adaptive charging, and low temperature modes. Supplied with both crocodile connectors for loose batteries, as well as a hard-wired battery lead to be fitted to your motorcycle. Fitted with SAE connectors and a handy three metre cable – extension leads are a thing of the past!
Automatic battery monitoring means that the charging output is varied, depending on the batteries condition. When the battery is fully charged, the battery indicator will show 100%, then the charger will switch itself into storage charge mode - automatically monitoring and maintaining the battery at full charge. If the charger is connected to the battery with no mains power connected – the LCD display with show your batteries health and indicate “LOW BAT” if the voltage is less than 9 volts.
Lead-Acid Battery Charging Mode:
- Battery Analysis: Ensures battery is in good condition, prior to starting normal charge process
- Soft Start Phase: Helps to ensure batteries in a low initial state of voltage are delivered a specified rate of charge to help recover the battery.
- Bulk Charge Phase: Delivers constant charging current to the battery, taking the battery up to 80% capacity
- Absorption Phase: Battery is given constant voltage at a lower current, monitoring the battery until it is 100% charged
- Maintenance Phase: The charger will constantly monitor and “turn on” again as needed to maintain the batteries full charge
LiFePO4 Battery Charging Mode:
- Soft Start Phase: Voltage and current are delivered at a specific rate for batteries with low charge, to recover them ready for bulk charge
- Bulk Charge Phase: Delivers constant charging current to the battery, taking the battery up to 80% capacity
- Absorption Phase: Battery is given constant voltage at a lower current, monitoring the battery until it is 100% charged
- Full Charge: Once the battery is full, it can be disconnected, or left safely attached to the charger indefinitely.
Please note: Once charger has been connected to a lithium battery, it will deliver a constant pulse frequency to activate the PCM (Protection Circuit Module) before it starts the charge program
