EBC Brakes Ultimax Replacement Brake Pads

EBC Ultimax (sometimes referred to as Blackstuff) brake pads are designed and manufactured as a high-quality replacement brake pad set at a price far cheaper than the original brake pads. They are perfect for normal, everyday road driving.

They are manufactured from premium quality, high friction material that is approved to ECE R90 safety regulations. They offer the same (or in many instances better) braking performance as the original or other aftermarket brake pads.

Because the material is less abrasive than many semi-metallic compounds, brake disc wear can be reduced by up to 50% with EBC Ultimax pads, offering significant savings not having to replace brake discs. The Ultimax brake pads do not wear any faster than normal pads though - wear rates are comparable with original brake pads.

EBC Ultimax Brake Pads create less dust than most original or aftermarket brake pads and is easily washed off. Ultimax pads come with edge chamfers which reduce noise but do not reduce life and revolutionary Brake-In coating. Many pads now include noise reduction shims on the rear of the backplate.

Nominal friction coefficient of 0.46

For performance road car use, we recommend Greenstuff, Redstuff or Yellowstuff pads for most applications.
