Zircotec Zircoflex 1 Gold Heat Shield Material

Zircoflex 1 Gold from Zircotec is a single layer (0,25mm thick) flexible heat shield material. The Gold coating provides 98% heat reflectivity and is capable of withstanding temperatures up to 500 degrees C. Zircoflex 1 Gold provides a 64% reduction in surface temperatre.

Zircoflex 1 Gold is consructed using a flexible aluminium substrate with a gold backing. Gold is used for its superior reflective properties and thermal diffusivity. The sheets are flexible and thin (0.25mm) so are easy to cut and shape to suit many different applications. 
Zircoflex gold has many uses where heat transfer is a problem, specifically in engine bays. It can be used to attach to the underside of bonnets or bulkheads to protect paintwork. it can be used on air boxes or intake pipes to reduce air intake temperatures and ultimately increase power levels. It is available with a plain backing or peel and stick self adhesive backing.
